World Children’s Day

On November 20th, World Children’s Day was joyously celebrated at Pledge Harbor International School, commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of the Rights of the Child by the UN General Assembly in 1959. The school’s faculty and staff orchestrated a spectacular event filled with delightful performances, showcasing the spirit of unity and celebration.
The festivities included lively songs, captivating dances, and engaging fun games, creating an atmosphere of joy and camaraderie. A special highlight of the celebration was a heartwarming video that provided a glimpse into a student’s life at PHIS. What added an extra layer of charm to the video was the clever portrayal of students by the teachers and staff, eliciting continuous laughter from the audience in the auditorium.
Ms. Sharmin Rupa, the Cultural Committee Head, expressed her pride in the holistic approach to education reflected in the performances. She emphasized that performing for students goes beyond entertainment; it is a means to make learning enjoyable and cultivate a sense of pleasure among the students.
The celebration not only entertained the students but also fostered a strong sense of camaraderie between teachers and students. By actively participating in the festivities, the teachers demonstrated their commitment to continuous learning and showcased a vibrant model of education that goes beyond the confines of traditional classrooms.
